Remembrance Day Ceremony

| Author | Daniel Nixon | November 16, 2019 |

On Monday November 11, 2018, students and staff from Dr. Frank J. Hayden Secondary School put on a performance to remember the many sacrifices that were made throughout history to give us the freedoms and rights we enjoy today in Canada. As a common practice in most schools across the country, Dr. Frank J. Hayden put together an assembly for all grades containing war stories, handwritten letters from soldiers to loved ones, music performed by Hayden’s Concert Band and Choir led by Mrs. Jagger with solo featuring Jay Fijian, a grade 11 student at DFJH. Throughout the school this day, poppies were worn and thoughts of our veterans were in our mind as we remembered their ultimate sacrifice.
