Elf
Starring: Will Ferrell, James Caan, Bob Newhart and Edward Asner
Elf follows the story of a human who was adopted by Santa’s elves and grew up in the North Pole as an elf. When he finds out he was adopted he sets out for New York City to find his birth father. Having grown up in the North Pole, he does not know what he is getting himself into, and it makes for a very heart-warming and entertaining film for the entire family. For many people, this movie has been a staple of Christmas since its release in 2003.
Home Alone
Starring: Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern
Home Alone follows the story of Kevin McCallister whos family leaves for France on vacation and forgets him at home. While home alone for the holidays Kevin jumps on the bed, eats junk food, and does all the stuff his parents would normally not allow. His fun is put on hold on Christmas Eve when two robbers attempt to break into his home. Kevin seizes the opportunity to set up a maze of booby traps around his home to stop the robbers. This series of events makes a great family film to enjoy at all ages because of the added suspense of the attempted robbery.
The Santa Clause
Starring: Tim Allen, Judge Reinhold, Wendy Crewson, Eric Lloyd and David Krumholtz
The Santa Clause follows father Scott Calvin and his son Charlie who hear a loud crash on Christmas Eve and discover that Santa Claus has fallen off their roof and disappeared. Having been the one to find his empty suit lying on his front lawn, there is a clause that now makes Scott Calvin the new Santa Claus. Scott and Charlie now must finish delivering all the presents before morning. Tim Allen plays a wonderful Santa Claus, with enough humor and sarcasm to satisfy adults and kids will love the magic of Christmas.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Starring: Jim Carrey, Taylor Momsen, and Kelley (the dog)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas follows the Grinch who lives alone in the mountains above Whoville. Angered by the happiness and Christmas cheer of the townspeople below, the Grinch decides to dress up as Santa and dress his trusty dog Max up as reindeer and venture into the town on Christmas Eve to steal all the presents. Along the way he runs into some people who live in Whoville and begins to learn the true meaning of Christmas. How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a classic Dr. Seuss tale that has been beloved by all for almost two decades.

Starring: Peter Billingsley, Zack Ward, Darren McGavin, and Melinda Dillon
A Christmas Story follows the Parker family as they navigate bullies, presents and each other over the Christmas season. This movie shows that Christmas is not always as organized and happy as it is made out to be in film. A Christmas Story has been one of the most popular and widely talked about Christmas films since its release in 1983.
